relaxing

With the relaxing range it s all in the name ….. Relaxing!

It can be used as a simple relaxing massage oil to decrease stress and tension. Or for improving quality and duration of sleep. Using these wonderful oils in our massage bases make for a beneficial addition to any bedtime or relaxing regime. The base melts beautifully into the skin leaving it velvety smooth and well moisturised. While the oils help to calm and soothe the mind, relax the body and leave you feeling relaxed and nurtured.

We use high quality organic essential oils in our blends. The German Blue Chamomile we use is rarely used in combination blends due to expense. This a classic aromatherapy blend which has stood the test of time.

As Herbalists, we use Chamomile and Lavender for relaxiation. Chamomile is one of our key digestive herbs, used as an anti-inflammatory, carminative and prebiotic. Lavender is used to reduce inflammation, speed up wound healing and deal with infection. Due to this  it may have a beneficial effect on eczema. acne, dermatitis and psoriasis. Chamomile has a great affinity for children. Both these essential oils are commonly found in children’s bath and skin products, helping soothe irritated skin and to calm children before bedtime.

Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) – is antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. Chamomile is also considered to be hypoallergenic with the ability to neutralise skin irritants.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) – this herb is one of the most versatile botanical extracts available for skincare. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, Lavender is believed to stimulate cellular growth and regeneration in the skin by helping your upper layer of skin repair itself. There doesn’t seem to be much that lavender cannot do for you.
